THE PUMPKINS ARE COMING! THE PUMPKINS ARE COMING!
Yes, that rumble you feel deep in your bones; that isn’t indigestion or an extremely loud bass tone from the speakers of a car going by. That is the rumble of the semi-truck approaching with close to two thousand pumpkins for us to sell here at Heritage Church! Let’s get ready! Saturday, October 7th the pumpkins will be ready to unload at 9amm and then we will start the Pumpkin Patch the next day and sell them the rest of the month! Please come help unload and sign up for a time to come help sell the pumpkins. Your help is greatly appreciated, and all the proceeds go towards supporting our youth group! Also, on Friday, October 13th, we will have a Movie in the Patch at 7pm for families in the community. This will be a great time to come and make people feel welcome and invite them to join us for worship or take part in our church family. So please, mark your calendar and come out and join us for the movie night! In addition, on Saturday, October 28th from 11am-2pm we will be having our Pumpkin Fest again, complete with games, inflatables, trunk-or-treat, food, and fun! As always with these events, we are expecting a good turn-out from the community and so we need your help whether in providing a trunk for trunk-or-treat, running games, helping serve food, or just talking to folks and making them feel welcome at our church. So please sign up to help with the Pumpkin Fest this month and start bringing in candy for the Trunk or Treat! Finally, this month we are continuing in the ABC’s of Heritage, talking about our key behaviors as a church that will make us live in a way to bring transformation and see our vision of “Optimus Prime” fulfilled. Not only do I invite you to keep attending as we move through these behaviors, but more so, invite God to move in your life to see these behaviors become a reality for you. When we each live out these things as individuals, our corporate church cannot help but become a place of deep discipleship and transformation. So, I am inviting you to dive into these behaviors with all your heart as we continue this month! There is more happening this month, so stay tuned as the month goes on; but for now, our main focus is the pumpkin patch and connecting with the community through it; so, any help that you can give is greatly appreciated!
